Gorges de l'Auvézère

The Auvézère has its source in the Massif Central and winds its way westwards into the Dordogne where it flows into the Isle. It is between Savignac-Lédrier and Génis that it enters the sinuous crystalline gorges, sometimes very steep
Here, nature is exuberant, the shaggy mosses and the hundred-year-old boxwoods refresh the walker, accompanied by the sound of running water. The dull roar of the Saut Ruban waterfall announces one of the most magical places in our forests, where the mouflons are the guardians
The discreet hiking trails guide you to the land of fairies and trolls
