Le bourg
24420 COULAURES
11th/12th century church with a 17th century Baroque altarpiece, listed as a historical monument (ISMH).
Located in the heart of the village, it was erected in the center of the old cemetery of Coulaures. Two chapels were added in the 15th and 16th centuries. The last major restoration at the end of the 19th century brought the transformation of the western facade as well as the nave.
The circular apse backing onto the bell tower and the nave form the medieval part of the building. The square bell tower houses a 17th century bell. The stained glass windows were listed in the Historical Monuments inventory in 1906.
