This 400 km long cycle road links the island of Aix in Charente-Maritime to Sarlat in the Dordogne. It can be gently discovered along the Charente River and historical heritage, passing through the Périgord vert through Nontron, Thiviers and Excideuil.

... is 400 km of itinerary in Gironde, Périgord and Limousin area, crossing several villages in the land of Naturellement Périgord, including the sports variant in the famous Auvézère gorges.
The year is 1908. A young student, Thomas Edward Lawrence, is fascinated by the Middle Ages. In order to finish his history thesis, he decides to cycle in Périgord on the trail of Richard the Lionheart. He arrives in 1908 and decides to celebrate his birthday at the castle of Châlus, where the Duke of Aquitaine and King of England was killed. Now it’s your turn to relive Lawrence’s experience through the Périgord, discovering its legends, monuments and folklore, following the tales of his diary.
